South Carolina Real Estate Continuing Education Requirements
South Carolina real estate licenses are renewed every two years by June 30. Unless exempt, active licensees must complete 10 hours of continuing education approved by the South Carolina Real Estate Commission during each renewal period.
Active Associate and Broker Licensees
10 total hours required
4 hours of the mandatory core course
6 hours of approved elective courses
Active Broker in Charge Licensees
10 total hours required
4 hours of the mandatory core course
4 hours of the mandatory Broker in Charge course
2 hours of approved elective courses
Course providers report completed continuing education directly to CE Broker. Licensees can use a free CE Broker Basic account to review their completed courses and confirm that all requirements have been reported before renewing.
Continuing education requirements and exemptions are established by the South Carolina Real Estate Commission and may change. Licensees should verify their individual requirements before renewal.
